(Cucurbita maxima)

Similar to Uchiki kuri, Solor produces more fruits and can be stored longer. It seems to become widely spread because of these characteristics. This breed is on the field just the same as Fictor. The storability is from our view also the same as the one of Fictor, but is said to be more vigorous and robust through a hybrid-like breed. Moste breeders plant 50 % Fictor and 50 % Solor;  

Fruits: shape of a spinning top like Uchiki Kuri; Size (D): 12 - 20 cm;  Flesh: yellow-orange; 3 cm thick, firm; fine-grained, floury to dry, delicate sweet flavour;
