A very old Hubbard variety. Boston Marrow originated from Mr. Ives in Massachusetts in 1831. At that time he received the seeds from a friend and the variety seems to be of Native American origin. This could however never been demonstrated. plant.
Fruits: elongated pear, striking red-orange; Size (DxH): 15 - 25 cm; Flesh, dark yellow, thick, finely structured and with a fine and delicate nutty flavour, good quality;
