In the USA grown since the colonial era, the real origin is unknown, but it is estimated that Connecticut Field was also cultivated by the Native Americans. It is still very popular and widespread.
Fruit: round, top and bottom slightly flattened; Size: (DxH): ca. 40 cm x 30 - 40 cm; Flesh: yellow-orange, 3 cm thick, slightly fibrous, but good quality, fine pumpkin flavour;
