Rouge Vif d`Etampes belongs surely to the most planted varieties. It was planed often together with gelber Zentner for Pigfeed and like this is co-responsible for the bad reputation of the pumpkin as tasteless Pigfeed. Rouge Vif d`Etampes yields many fruits. Because of its form and strong color he is very suited to decorate. 

Fruit: round, very broad, flattened, partly deepened, Size (DxH): 20 - 50 cm x 15 - 20 cm; Flesh: yellow-orange, watery, fibrous, minor taste and flesh quality;
